Bottom line is the smoker is poisoning the non-smoker!
      Why is that acceptable?

My KwitSmowkin stickers are funny, maybe a bit nasty but they're saying what many are thinking!

So what's worse, my messages you'll find throughout this site or someone smoking IN YOUR FACE knowing how deadly 2nd Hand Smoke really is?

Barb was diagnosed with lung cancer in September 2002 at the age of 41, after smoking since Grade 7. In a remarkably short amount of time, cancers spread to almost every part of her body, including her brain, bones and even resting on her aorta. While some people would lie and wait for death to arrive, Barb decided to share her tobacco story with Alberta's youth in the hopes of persuading them to quit - or not start in the first place. After a courageous fight

Below are just a few celebrities that have smoked or still do!
Many of them have children! I wonder if they realize what they are exposing their children to on a daily basis and what example they are setting for their children as well as their adoring fans!
Unfortunately most of their adoring fans think if it's KOOL for these guys to do it then why shouldn't they?
All celebrities that are in the public eye need to set an example!
All I'm saying is if you're going to smoke and you have a death wish...FINE!
Just don't take others with you, walk that walk alone!
Leave your family, friends and fans out of it.

Amongst this list below, which one ingredient
temps you to EVER, EVER want to smoke?

A few ingredients in Tobacco Products:
Acetone - used in nail polish removers
Arsenic - used in rat poisons
Ammonia - a must have household cleaner
Benzene - a highly toxic chemical used for rubber cement, paint remover
Carbon monoxide - a poisonous gas that reduces the amount of oxygen in red blood cells
Formaldehyde - used to preserve the dead
Nicotine - a very addictive drug and extremely poisonous at high doses

Nicotine Addiction - the nicotine that's inhaled in tobacco smoke goes from your lungs into your bloodstream and then up into your brain. This takes about 7 to 10 seconds. Once it's in your brain it triggers a number of chemical reactions that then create for you a temporary feeling of pleasure. But this pleasure only lasts a few minutes. As the nicotine level drops in your blood, you start to feel agitated and edgy which is a sign of nicotine withdrawal. So what do you do then? You light up another cigarette till you've realized you're probably smoking a pack a day. Those that try to quit realize they are addicted to nicotine.

Lawsuits against The Big Tobacco Companies!
The U.S. and Canada are suing tobacco companies due to deaths from tobacco products as well as health care costs associated with treating smoking related diseases and illnesses.
It's odd if not funny that they are doing this!
In The Gazette (Montreal newspaper) Eric Gagnon, external communications manager for Montreal based Imperial Tobacco Canada Ltd., said "It's sheer hypocrisy on the part of governments. They legislate the industry, issue permits for us to legally produce and sell (tobacco products), collect millions of dollars in taxes each year - $700 million in Quebec alone- then sue us."
In November 1998, the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement was reached between the four largest United States tobacco companies and the attorneys-general of 46 states, settling their Medicaid lawsuits against the industry for recovery of their tobacco-related health care costs.
That deal will pay $245 billion YES BILLION! U.S. over 25 years.
They are saying tobacco companies have withheld information from consumers about the negative health effects of cigarettes. Yet for years it's been a public issue how harmful tobacco products are as well as how addictive.
Even though I'm against tobacco products, smokers made the choice to start smoking. They are also aware how dangerous it is as well as how addictive. Someone that starts smoking now with all this bad publicity takes it upon him/herself to be exposed to the many ailments tobacco products cause.
So DON'T start!

R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company
   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reynolds_Tobacco
2nd largest tobacco company in the U.S. The founder of this huge company died of cancer of the pancreas in 1918 after a lifetime of chewing tobacco. The product that made him a wealthy man killed him.
His grandson Patrick Reynolds a former pack-a-day smoker after seeing his father, oldest brother and other relatives die from cigarette-induced emphysema, heart disease and cancer quit smoking and became an advocate of a smoke free America.
